About Keith

Keith Cox has co-founded two industrial supply businesses over the last 30 years. Two years ago though, he did a 180-degree turn, selling his last business and working as a Risk & Loss Control Manager. His current job, and his previous industrial businesses require him to do safety training for a wide variety of audiences, from contractors to oil field workers, to farm field workers, City and county workers, school employees and everyone in between. His safety expertise is vast, and he has taught subjects such as CPR, First Aid, AED certification, forklift certification, confined space entry certification, fall protection awareness and competent person, respirator training and fit testing and office ergonomic training and much more.

Keith’s passions include riding his Indian Motorcycle and music. He plays guitar and sings both solo and with his band Different Strings and has been in the music industry since 2009. Keith has performed live shows at many venues across the Central California Coast including the Pismo Beach Clam festival, The Arroyo Grande Strawberry Festival, the Santa Barbara County Fair, the Lompoc Flower Festival as well as countless local wineries, brew pubs, bars and bistros. He also started the 805 Musician’s Network on Facebook with the goal of becoming a source for local musicians, working and communicating with and helping each other.

Mark and Keith have known each other for more than 40 years and have always loved talking about every and anything. Their first radio gig was at Los Angeles Pierce Community College on the campus radio station in the 1980’s. Mark was hooked, but Keith went on to brighter things….until now as they reunite on CST.

Keith lives with his wife Tina in Santa Barbara County with their dog Bridgette, and their Indian Motorcycle. So far, Tina still will not allow the motorcycle to stay in the living room.
